Looking for a goth song. I know I've heard it played at local goth clubs in San Francisco pretty frequently, certainly as recently as the past couple of years but it's probably not super-recent and could be a decade or two old.
What I know;
It's in the slightly stompy end of the spectrum, not techno or swirly. Very danceable.
Male singer, probably native English speaker but could have that careful enunciation you get from Germans singing in English. Relatively deep voice but nothing extreme.
Chorus is something along the lines of "If I could/reach you/ touch you/take you by the hand" (or "take you in my arms" or something that scans that way).
With "reach" and "touch" rising and slightly elongated and the words in the first and last lines each taking up a beat. If that makes sense.

Correct lyrics are "If I could reach through/catch you/make you understand" and I guess I was partly right about the accent since they're Norwegian.
