Looking for an Asian horror movie

(just copy-pasting my entry to thequestionclub because I am lazy:) I'm asking on behalf of my stepmother--apparently it's from the last 10-15 years or so, and involved a woman with green eyes who has some kind of pyrokinetic power and keeps making things explode as she searches for a girl, possibly in a school. (This is at the end of the movie.) A man and a woman

Also, completely ignore the synopsis posted on IMDB. Somebody did NOT pay attention to the actual movie. O_o

No problem. It was one of my favorite goofy horror movies when I was younger (and before I found the movie, I loved the video game), so I recognized it right away!

Yeah, that's the beauty of the internet. Ask enough people and most of the time, SOMEbody is like "Oh yeah, that thing! I know it well!" The internet has helped me confirm, on NUMEROUS occasions, that I am NOT crazy and did NOT make up all the weird obscure movies I saw on late-night TV in the '90s as an insomniac kid.
