Cartoon-thing!
Back when I was really little, I used to love this little cartoon my dad had on tape. I imagine it was made in the late 80's; possibly early 90's at the absolute latest.
I'm pretty sure it was Canadian in origin. It was stop-motion, I think. It involved this cast of characters (one of whom I think was a car) trying to get a green ball up to an oval-shaped tower. They try lots of unsuccessful things to get the green ball up there, including, I think, a cannon. I don't remember how they finally got it up there, but in the end, they do it just in time. Suddenly, the lights go on, and it's revealed that they were all just decorations on a cake. The lights are from a little boy, who sneaks into the room and steals the ball (which, as it turns out, is made of candy) and eats it.
Anyone have any ideas?
