About a kid who finds(or is given, dunno) a castle with a knight figure that comes to life. The knight was cursed by some wizard. The kid helps the knight. And along the way, the kid learns some important life lesson from this whole thing. Also the kid's a gymnast.

Seconded. There is also a sequel, The Battle for the Castle, which I read before I knew there was a first one and was hopelessly confused.
