what do I have here?

I'm not sure if this qualifies as an appropriate question for this community; feel free to delete it if it isn't.

A couple of weeks ago I was out browing in antique shops and I saw a painting that I thought was very odd and very, oh, odd. Of course I went back today and bought it. The gal at the shop didn't know anything about it though she was told that it had been hanging in a church.

So I got it home and started cleaning it a little, and way down at the bottom right it is signed "C. Del Tufo, Roma," and I Googled that. It might be Croce del Tufo, which is a cemetary/mausoleum/necropolis in Rome. However, it doesn't help me much. And next to the signature is printed "[Copyright] John Duffy New York." So I Googled that and didn't get much, a lot of people named John Duffy. Eventually, though, I came across "tin lithograph John Duffy" and that took me to eBay and several other sites that sell art. I found a picture of what I bought, only it is different.

Here is what I bought:

And here is what is being offered for sale in other places:

I am perplexed. Obviously they started out the same. What I have is very incomplete. But if it's a lithograph on tin, how did that happen? Do I have a factory second? Or what?
