Who is this actor??

I just saw a guy at the Fiddler's Bistro on 3rd in LA and I swear I recognize him from tv.  He is thin and goofy looking and has a brooklyn type accent in alot of things.  He's either a character actor or a comedian.  For some reason I picture him playing an Italian or Greek guy in sitcoms.  I thought he was a voice in the Simpsons but I just looked it up on imdb and couldn't find him.  Any thoughts as to who he might have been?  He also has bags under his eyes and which are kind of droopy or sleepy.  He's maybe 45.
