emo/electro song?
Not a lot to go on here, but. I caught a bit of an alt/electro/indie song I know I know, but couldn't place. The chorus is heavily vamped (it's just the same line over and over), the music sounds like it could be NIN or the Faint or any number of similar "new emo -- not the old emo -- and with a lot of synth!" acts, words more spoken than sung, male vocals with that quiet/angry desperation, etc. It may actually be NIN or the Faint, which is sort of embarrassing. I thought there was a line in one of the verses along the lines of "we do what we can to survive", but that's Googling up a Meteors song (I know, I love their Ramones cover too, but they're definitely not the band I'm thinking of!). The word "survive" is solid. So is the "we" pronoun. The actual phrasing, alas, is not. The chorus is the same line repeated. This is not very useful information.
