movie help!

I saw this movie some time ago, and it was about this Danish (maybe as I didn't understand the language but I think he's possibly Danish?) gymnast who gave it all up just so he could teach gymnastics. He ended up going to Canada, I think, where he was asked to train a sulky teenager (who doesn't listen to a thing the man says) for some kind of competition. He also frequently had flashbacks about his childhood where he had this really crazy abusive trainer. That's all I could remember guys. Any help is appreciated. :)
