A thought...
What if you were plucking the hairs right above your nose one day to make sure you don't grow a unibrow and you go to JERK one out of there and it pulls out, but does not detach? Instead you are left with one inch of a hair dangling from between your eyes. So you're like, WIERD! But proceed to pull it out from the new base you have found. And again, one more inch, but this time you keep your tweezers pinched on the end of that pesky little (or long in this case) hair and keep pulling, and pulling, and pulling...
Of course this is highly improbable and probably impossible, but just what if? That'd be one crazy hair plucking story, right?! Eh?!
