...at work today. Yes, I get paid to think, but I wasn't thinking about work. I was looking at a piece of paper and saw that my eyes have a lot of "floaties" in them, which is caused by stress to the eye or something like that. I did a report on it once but I can't remember everything. So anyway, that made me think: "What if I were blind?"
What would I do? Sports would be difficult, at least team sports. I could probably run while holding the rails on a treadmill. And I could still lift weights for sure. But theres no way I could play soccer or basketball or softball. That would SUCK! I would still be able to think and come up with sweet ideas for designs and stuff, but it would difficult to draw them so communicating a visual idea would be a challenge. About the only thing I could do with the same efficiency (and maybe even more) would be play guitar and sing. And that brought me comfort as I sat there. Another thing I thought of was that I wouldn't be able to drive anymore, so that would be a ton of stress gone automatically. And I would get to have people drive me around all the time because who wouldn't want to drive around a cool blind dude? Seriously? Yet, though I have come to the conclusion that I would be able to live happily without sight, I thank God that he hasn't taken it away yet.
So I also want to add to a post I posted a few posts ago. It was about my recent amusement with the fresh commercials that have been airing. I've seen a couple recently that I think merit mentioning. First, the one that absolutely cracks me up (and because I can't remember the other one yet). Its the new commercial for Arby's with the scrawny Hulk Hogan look-a-like sporting the classic red and yellow wrestling outfit, while spewing Hogan-like phrases in praise of Arby's new chicken sandwiches (probably Hogan's actual voice dubbed over because its dead on). It ends with him saying, "I'm thinking Arby's brother!" LOL!!!
The second one I can't remember so maybe its not that good after all. Nighty night.
