...which means i post setlist of shows i go to
Last time I saw Tori was in Oakland last tour, three nights in a row and it was heinous due to DRAMA and the shows were not all up to par. The party bus was not my cup of tea and things just went kind of whacky and disappointing. So since then I have been a bit, let's say, less than enthused. Little did I know how much i would LOVE the new album and how much the tour this tiem around would KICK ASS.
So at 10pm on Thursday night I made the spur of the moment decision to drive to Durham, NC to see her and hang out with my friends that I haven't seen since Oakland. Totally and 150% worth it!

Tori's voice is the best I've heard it since 1998 - truly. After Pandora's I looked at John next to me and said "it's like 1998 all over again!" Her energy was incredible and she was feeding off of us (because everyone else seemed to be kinda like duds). I am not a huge Pandora's fan but it was phenominal - absolutely stellar. I have to admit that I didn't know Mary's of the Sea was what it was until the chorus (oops! Hi Beekeeper is my least favorite album). Landslide I was in tears the whole time, and for most of Upside Down as well.
Lady In Blue, debuted that nigiht, was insane. Gorgeous. Sexy. Hot. Brilliant. Perfect live song. She was so into it and we were totally sucked in. the 9 of us STOOD up together and applauded her. It was that good. Strong Black Vine? Intense. Very Intense and demon Tori is back and in full force here and I loved it!
I'm looking forward to Indy on Friday and Detroit on Saturday. And because it was SO GOOD I'm also now going to Red Bank, NJ and Philadelphia to see 2 of the last three shows of the tour. Woot!
