More of Christmas...
My Uncle Peter (the laughing man on the far left with the gold party hat on in the fifth picture down in the last post) is atrocious for Christmas excitement. Every year he has all his decorations up by the first of December (which he goes completely overboard on) and every Christmas eve he is worse than his own two little daughters (my cousins Isobel and Abby) at going to bed because he gets so excited. He wakes up every Christmas day at literally about 4 AM and then rings the rest of the family (including us) at about 6 AM. If Christmas can turn a fully grown man with his own children into an insanely excited little boy again then for me it is definitely the best time of year :)
I went to Selfridges today with Matt and I went in the Christmas Shop for the fifth time so far this year. It literally brings a tear to my eye! If you haven't gone I really strongly urge you to do so, it is a veritable Santa's Grotto and so pretty and magical too. It really is touching seeing businessmen who normally look so stern in posh suits with briefcases buying stockings and nutcrackers for their children. Go along! They have really beautiful Christmas tree baubles and stockings and also tinsel and lights in every colour.
