computer help..
the thunder storm last week knocked out our comcast.
another computer in the house is working again (connected by the wireless router)
but mine isnt. we called up comcast and ran soem tests and they came to the conclusion it was defnitly the winsock software thing fuckin up...
how do i fix that??
they said we had to call microsoft support so we did and they were full of shit and wanted 35 to talk on the phone with us more.. (and "maybe" fix the computer)
i keep getting a error message poppin up saying "network cable unplugged" on my computer and i noticed the little green lights on the ethernet card dont ligth up anymore..
so i brought a new ethernet card and put it in and still the same thing. (also tryed different ethernet cables..)
i figured the card got fried or something cause when the storm came it made a loud "crack crack crack" cause something around the house got hit with lightning. but the rest of the computer works fine.. so i dotn know whats the deal... just the connection not working.
on our wireless router network; we have 3 computers.. 1 connected wirelessly (which works..) 1 connected by a long ass ethernet cable. (which doesnt work either) and my computer which is the main computer for the cable modem and router shit (which doesnt work and is connected by ethernet cable)
so only the wireless one works..
how the fuck do i fix my internet to make it work???
