Had a great time last night with old friends (one from h.s. in TN! haven't seen her in years) and college friends... motospeedfreek whipped up SUCH a yummy meal for all of us. Man, that girl can cook! I am luuuu-cky. *blush* Anyway: I slept 3.5 hours last night and woke to a damn early-sounding alarm. It was very hard to leave my snuggly girl in bed and pull on ( Read more... )

The Saturday is cool. I taking an aromatheraphy candle making class this weekend and am thinking that we can all make candles at the shower! I can bring the ingredients and we all make at least one each for D&C and then people can make more for themselves to take home. What do you think? I'll have a better idea after the class on Sat. as to how feasible this will be but I'm trying to figure out if people would be interested.

You are NUTS, but you know that! I'm getting nasty flashbacks to crew memories of freshman year. Ick. I have no problem with the brutally hard work, but the oh-dark-early morning thing has GOT to go. Damn weather patterns and tippy boats.

If you go the coffee route, I recommend getting a grinder and doing it up fresh from whole beans. I wasn't really a coffee drinker till we got that, it's soooooooo much better. And only like $10 for a grinder.

*laughing about the oh-dark-early morning comment*

And thanks for the advice about the grinder. Yesterday I had caffinated tea and peanut M&M's and that seemed to do just fine... until an hour later when I had a belly-ache. :( But I was awake, dammit! (and hey, have you met my gf? we definitely already have a coffee grinder... now ,my figuring out how to work it myself is another story...)

Caffinated tea and peanut m&Ms actually sound like good fuel options. Another possibility is caffine pills - I've used them before when I was much more athletic and they're great b/c they don't upset your tummy like coffee can.
