i want to make 'tricky taco soup' from the sneaky chef cookbook.
http://www.thesneakychef.com/ 1 medium onion pureed or very finely chopped
2 (4 oz) cans tomato paste
1/2 c. mild salsa
1/4 c. orange puree (basically just cooked carrots and sweet potatoes pureed)
1/4 c. white bean puree (pureed can of white kidney beans)
4 c. chicken broth
1 lb. chicken meat cooked and shredded
salt and pepper to taste
i was thinking i could just throw everything in the crock with the raw chicken. crocked chicken is the only kind i've had that has been easily shredded. is there anything about this recipe that screams, 'STOP! DON'T DO THIS IN THE CROCK POT!!!'? do i need to make any modifications?
i'm planning on serving this with a little bit of sour cream and unsalted corn chips. i can't wait!!
