Ok, its been awhile since I've made it and its always basically the same no real measurements.
in a plastic bag. I usually use a shopping bag from Walmart put in:
- about a cup of ap flour
- salt
- pepper
- paprika
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- italian seasoning
All the seasonings are really to taste. I just pour the stuff in. heh, But I've been making this stuff for years.
I usually use about 3 pounds of boneless skinless chicken breast.
- one or two chicken breasts at a time, toss them into the bag and make sure they are coated nice nice with the flour and the spices.
- melt about a stick of butter in a frying pan.
- after all the breasts are coated, you're just going to fry them until they are golden brown and crusty. saving any melted butter for later. feel free to add more butter if you have to.
- now I make this in a crock pot, robin makes it differently and bakes it. her's takes less time, mine, I start it at noon, and its ready around 6ish or so, depending on when you switch it to low. I will cook it on high for 3 or 4 hours then switch to low.
- line the bottom of the of the crock pot with some chicken breasts, pour on a can of cream of mushroom soup. add more chicken breasts, and use another can of cream of mushroom soup.
- make a box or two of stove top stuffing, cutting the water and butter in half. I make two boxes, because we love stuffing.
- put the stove top after its cooked on top of the chicken and soup.
- pour any butter from the frying pan on top and then put the crock pot lid on, set it on high and wait a few hours, you should smell some pretty awesome stuff.
Enjoy!!
