So far, I've cooked several recipes in my cock pot since I moved out with my fiance. First was a BBQ pork chop recipe that while too dry, I thought was fine. The next two were taco chicken recipes here (first was too salty but still good, second was fine). Then I tried cooking plain boneless chicken breasts in some broth and towards the end I added some noodles. It was terrible. Then I made a ham, and it was fine. Today, I made a recipe from a seasoning packet for italian seasoning and tomato chicken. Once again, it was terrible.
My fiance claims my taco chicken was also terrible so if I take that into consideration, basically everything I've made in the past four months has been 'cat food'.
It seems the last two chicken recipes became waaaaay too water logged and literally turned into a soggy mess.
How do I stop this from happening again? Is using almost fat free boneless chicken breasts my downfall? Do I have hope of my next recipe (pot roast) turning out fine or am I destined to always make crap? =(
