Mmm, this has to be one of the best roasts I've ever made in the crock pot... my fiance says it's the best roast ever XD
4 potatoes
1lb pork roast
10 strands saffron
1 tsp chicken bullion
2½ cups water
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp thyme
1 tbsp sage
1 tbsp oregano
3 tsp chopped garlic
15 drops lemon juice
I chopped up the potatoes & lined them in the bottom of the crock pot. I put the roast on top, & sprinkled the pepper, thyme, sage, oregano, & saffron on top of the roast. drizzle the lemon juice over the roast. I threw in the garlic, & mixed the bullion in the water before putting it in the pot, pouring it over the roast.
Cooked on low for about 10 hours (can be cooked for less time, but I was at work XD)
It literally fell apart when we tried taking it out of the crock pot. It had to be the best flavour I ever tasted.
I used too much saffron in mine (I probably put about 17-20 strands) & the potatoes REALLY tasted like saffron... not a bad thing, but I'd definatly use less next time.
