Summary: Stretching across the bed with a soft groan, the black and blonde haired man blinked groggily, the afternoon sunlight blinding him. His entire mouth felt like he had stuffed a handful of cotton balls and his hair felt oily to the touch. Right behind his eyes they throbbed, they felt dry and irritated.
Comments: Somehow, this song gave me this idea. I’m not a hundred percent how this had happened, but, it did. I mean, the storyline has absolutely nothing to do with the song, obviously haha so, it is what it is. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy this.
I hadn’t really planned to have this posted at all… but, I was tricked and not one to break a promise, well, I’m posting. Hope that those who read enjoy ^^
It's just random shit lOl

His entire mouth felt like he had stuffed a handful of cotton balls and his hair felt oily to the touch. Right behind his eyes they throbbed, they felt dry and irritated.
Yawning, he buried his head beneath the pillow, easing his mind back into a slumber where he went in and out of consciousness. He unconsciously listened to the sound of cars honking and driving on the street, the singsong tweets of birds outside his window and the footfalls of other tenants inside his apartment complex. It was a familiar lullaby to him, a background noise that he felt content with.
After another fifteen minutes of lounging between consciousnesses, he rolled over and sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Giving another stretch over his head, followed by a long loud yawn, dark fawn eyes searched the room.
The remnants of what had happened during the night completely erased. No sign that another had ever been inside his apartment, no one other than him. Not even the faint smell of the cherry flavored cigarettes the other had smoked lingered anywhere. Nothing remained of the person and that left an empty feeling inside of him.
Scooting to the edge of the bed, he pushed himself off the mattress. Pulling on a pair of sweats as he went in search of caffeine, ignoring that tug, he stopped in the front room and stared at the medium sized area. A lamp had been knocked over, a few magazines left lying on the ground carelessly.
A flash of the night came back full force; the body in his arms that he had pressed against the back of his couch. The way that smooth leg hooked around his hip, the hands that clawed at the back of his shirt and those deep moans. Just thinking back on it made him shiver in need and pleasure.
But, that’s all it would be; a memory.
Plopping down on his couch, he looked around his living room. More of the night flashed through his mind, the night at the club, but, more importantly, spotting him in the crowd. He didn’t know what it was, but, every fiber of his being was drawn to that body.
His eyes set on the mahogany haired colored male with large sunglasses. It was like, everything else faded out and he was the only one in color. Reita hadn’t believed in love at first sight; not until he had seen that man in the crowd.
*~*~*
Balancing the two trays in his possession, he maneuvered his ways through the neatly arranged tables of the restaurant. Reaching his destination, he set it down carefully, so as not to dump the food atop the surface. Smiling to the customers, he gave the requested plates to each person.
Refilling their wine glasses, as well as their water, he left to the back. With a heavy sigh, he set the pitcher down, tossed a towel over his shoulder and looked at his coworker, “so, John Boy, got any plans for the weekend?”
“Absolutely nothing,” the other shook his head, taking a few glasses and arranging them atop a tray. The man lifted his head and gave a lopsided grin, “my life is as bleak as yours.”
Snorting, Reita looked up at the ceiling, “tell me about it.”
“Aren’t you off in about twenty minutes?” another man washing dishes asked.
“Yeah,” the bleached blonde nodded, “as long as my last table is gone by then. I need my tip before I leave.”
“Going out?” the other server asked amused.
“It’s Saturday,” he smirked, taking a refilled pitcher of water.
Taking a quick glance at his watch, Reita saw he was actually leaving work on time. He collected his pay and now, he was on his way out to party. He didn’t have work for an entire week and he was looking forward to the time off. Not only was he looking forward to the time off from his job, he was looking forward to the break from college; it was just what he needed.
Jogging across the street from the restaurant, he adjusted the bag over his shoulder and quickly pocketed his hands from the cool spring breeze. Walking along with the slow moving crowd, until they came to stop light and had to wait for the signal; he didn’t know what it was, but, something urged him to look up and across.
That’s where he spotted him.
The brunette was completely engrossed with something on his phone. A nimble thumb swiping across the screen, those hazel eyes focusing only on what was in front of him.
So, as the light changed and the crowd could cross, Reita kept his eyes on the man and unconsciously, he walked straight towards the other. He kept with his steps, until he came to a complete stop and stood right in the way of the other. His sudden actions caused the other to run into him.
Looking up from the handheld device, the man narrowed his eyes, “something I can help you with?”
Reita didn’t exactly think on what he wanted to say, so, the words just rolled off his tongue with the dorkiest smile, “you’re so beautiful that you made me forget my pickup line.”
Immediately, the words brought a smile to the other’s face. The brunette rolled his eyes with a small shake of his head and he stepped around the blonde. Only after a few steps, he turned around and with a smirk, “can I borrow your phone?”
Blinking, the blonde asked, “why would need to do that when you’ve got yours?”
“I need to call animal control, because there’s a rabid dog on the loose humping people’s legs. I think he needs to be neutered.” With that said he turned back around and continued on his way.
The waiter’s mouth literally fell open with the snarky retort. Slowly though, his lips pulled into a smile and he chuckled, “Wow, a man after my own heart.”
Suddenly, a car honked loudly and as the driver yelled out their window, “get the fuck out of the road you asshole!”
Turning to the person, Reita quickly flipped them off and jogged to the curb. Taking one more look across, he spotted the brunette. Grimacing slightly as he might not see the other again. The best way to cure his disappointment though, was with a little booze.
*~*~*
Running both hands through his tangled hair, to where they rested on the back of his neck, he stared at the ground. The odds of seeing that man again, especially in this large of a city was pretty damned slim, but, luck was on his side. He did see him again; that night.
Smiling, Reita definitely felt like some higher grace was looking down on him.
*~*~*
After making the trek back to his apartment, the blonde quickly changed into completely different outfit. A black tank top, a dark blue jumpsuit, completed with a studded belt, silver necklaces and biker boots. Taking his keys and wallet, he was out the door and on his way to his usual spot.
It was spring break and all the college students were out to have a good time.
When he entered the establishment, he was greeted by many friends. Saying a few quick ‘hi’ to those friends and classmates as he made his way to the bar, ordering a beer. A hand soon came out of nowhere and gave the blonde a hard, stinging slap to his back.
“What up ass,” another of his classmates snickered.
Shaking the small droplets of beer off his hand, he frowned at the other, “Aoi you dick.”
The elder with the lip ring smirked and sat right next to the man. Holding up a finger, signaling to the bartender; he smiled, “so, you and Amy broke up; again, huh?”
Huffing at the sound of his ex’s name, Reita lowered his head. Immediately being reminded of the event; it was before their exams and he had been so busy studying and putting in hours at work. He guesses he should have seen it coming. The college student couldn’t exactly blame her for wanting someone who would put the time in to please her.
“Hey,” Aoi put a hand on the shoulder, “shit happens. You needed the money and you needed to keep your grades up for your scholarship.”
“I don’t know what the hell I was thinking dating a chick; too demanding for my tastes.”
“Well then,” the other student took a deep breath. Lightly patting the shoulder, he gave a crooked smile, “why don’t you find yourself a nice strapping young man then, miss.”
Laughing out loudly, Reita shoved at the chest of the other, “sorry man, ya ain’t my type.”
“C’mon, I got someone I want you to meet,” Aoi gave a nod of his head.
Taking his beer, he trailed after his friend. Zigzagging in and out of the dancing throng of people, the elder had led him to another table, surrounded with a handful of unfamiliar faces. Never had he seen these guys around campus, but, as his eyes skimmed over the new faces, his eyes stopped on a brunette.
“This is my girlfriend, Kim and a few of her friends,” he motioned with his hands.
Their eyes connected and he could feel that dorky smile come back full force. Crossing his arms, he cocked a brow at the man, “so, you never called animal control. I hear that rabid dog is still going around humping peoples legs.”
The other rolled his eyes, resting his chin in the palm of his hand; he replied casually, “well, the little guy was an adorable stray; I just didn’t have the heart.”
“Reita,” he held out his hand, the man taking it firmly.
“My names, Ruki,” the man introduced himself.
*~*~*
Smiling back on that night, Reita remembered at how they conversed with each other so easily; as if, they had always known one another. The snarky comment, the fleeting touches and the teasing stares; it was like they were meant to meet.
After that night at the club, they met up every day. Going out to have coffee, take a walk in the park or just spend the time in each other’s presence. Never running out of anything to talk about; there was always something to talk about with Ruki.
So, when it came to the end of spring break, he felt really bothered by it. Cause the entire time they had gotten to know each other, Reita knew he just knew that Ruki was going to be leaving. And there wasn’t anything he could do to keep him from leaving.
*~*~*
Rushing into the usual coffee shop, his eyes went straight to ‘their’ table. Not disappointed by the person sitting in their usual seat. A smile lit up his face and he went straight toward the other, taking the open seat across from him.
Not once break his gaze from the man across from him, the words just slipped, “go to dinner with me; tonight.”
Ruki stopped in mid-motion of sipping at his coffee and blinked, “dinner?”
“Yeah,” he nodded his head. Scratching at the nap of his neck, Reita blushed, “I’d really like to have a proper date with you. At a fancy restaurant, maybe a movie and then, whatever you want to do.”
Chuckling at the way the college student nervously spouted the words, he hummed, “dinner would be nice, Reita.”
Head snapping up, he questioned stupidly and surprised, “really?”
Laughing, he nodded, “yeah, really. What time?”
That night, they went to dinner. Everything had gone perfectly and the entire time, Reita felt as if he was falling deeper and deeper in love with this person. Enjoying every little smile that Ruki gifted him, that sweet honey melodious laughter and those fleeting touches. God, he felt like the luckiest man alive.
Night nearly coming to an end, they found themselves back in the blonde’s studio apartment. Barely making through the threshold before the elder turned the younger around and molded their lips into a passionate kiss. Ruki’s hands splayed over a broad back and soft sounds escaped his throat as hot lips kissed their way down his neck.
Lifting the shorter off his feet, the college student took him further into his home. Not seeing where he was going and running straight into the back of his couch. One of Ruki’s hands let go of him to go back and catch himself, only to knock over the lamp that was there. Only Reita was quicker to catch the brunette and hold him tight to his body.
The lamp immediately forgotten as they resumed their wild kiss. Clothes were quickly shed, leaving a trail behind them as they made their way towards the lone bed. Hands explored smooth, hot skin, doing their best to bring bodies closer.
Falling back onto his mattress, Reita worshipped that body beneath him. His mouth marked the brunette with dark marks, showing all that this man had been his; even if it was for a night. He could at least say that he had him.
Thrusting into the willing body with a throaty groan, he reveled in the tight heat of Ruki. Enjoying those deep sultry moans falling from those kissed bruised lips. Loving the flushed skin of pleasure coloring that unblemished porcelain skin; those bright hazel eyes and lashes that fluttered. And all Reita could think was, he could fall in love with this man over and over again.
Hissing as nails dug into his shoulders, scratching down his arms and back. Groaning as legs tightened around his waist, pulling him deeper into that wondrous body. Sighing as kisses were given and lips nipped at his own.
When their peaks reached high into heaven, they collapsed with heavy breathes and soothing, fleeting touches. Reita’s arms wrapped securely around that smaller frame, keeping Ruki close. He did his best to elude sleep, knowing deep down, if he closed his eyes the man would just disappear. It was a hard task, but, the blonde had managed one last long gaze at his sleeping partner, memorizing every curvature of that diamond shaped face, that pouting bottom lip.
*~*~*
Eyes opening, he stared at the ground. He felt disappointed, but, at the same time, it made him smile.
Straightening, Reita took a deep breath and slowly exhaled. Getting up from his spot on the couch, he went to his kitchen. Going through the usual routine before going to classes, he started the coffee pot and turned to the refrigerator only to stop.
A bright blue sticky note that Reita used for notes was stuck smack dab in the middle. Written perfectly was a name and a phone number. Beneath that was a small message; a message that meant the world to him.
‘Wish I could have woken up with you, but, I needed to finish with my transfer papers. So, we can have more nights like this.’
Reita downright believed he was the luckiest person on the whole planet.
