Summary: Gazing out the truck window, he let his head fall onto the shoulder beside him. They had been silent the entire time, enjoying the presence of the other. I was sort of a silent understanding of how much love they had for each other. It didn’t need to be said.
Comments: This particular fic is the result of a song haha can you tell me what the song is?
And, I know it’s pretty unoriginal, but, I’ve had the run of a slight writer’s block so… yeah. This is all I’ve been able to manage… pathetically.
Please forgive me for the angst ;__;
I was in such an angsty mood and this… this was the result.
Gazing out the truck window, he let his head fall onto the shoulder beside him. They had been silent the entire time, enjoying the presence of the other. I was sort of a silent understanding of how much love they had for each other. It didn’t need to be said.
All that needed to be done, was for them to gaze deep into each other’s eyes. All they needed to do was take each other into a hold and they just knew. Their love was never ending.
An arm came around his shoulders and gave him a squeeze; his boyfriends voice deep and caring, “What’s wrong, Taka?”
Blinking, he glanced to the boy beside him. Giving a small shrug of his shoulders, he shifted in his seat and turned his gaze back out the window. Thinking on what he wanted to ask and how to answer his boyfriend.
“Is it your dad?”
“No,” he shook his head.
Biting his lip, the blonde gazed at the side of the brunette’s face, asking, “What is it then?”
“Akira, do you-” he cut himself off quickly. Blinking, he looked down and then to the face, voice coming out soft, “Do you ever think about the future?”
The other’s brows furrowed slightly. It was an uncharacteristic question for his boyfriend to ask, but, yet, it was so him. So, Akira looked out the window, thinking on the answer.
“What do you see?” Taka asked another.
Licking his lips, he turned to the other, reiterating the question, “what do you see?”
“I’m being serious,” the younger pouted slightly.
Smiling, the blonde gave a loud sigh. Rubbing his hand up and down the arm, he leaned in and pressed a kiss to a temple; murmuring lovingly, “you.”
The answer brought an immediate smile to his lips. Taka lowering his head to hide the blush that formed.
“I see you,” Akira whispered.
Facing the elder, he gazed into those deep chocolate eyes. Giving his lips a quick lick, he leaned and kissed the blonde passionately. Hands came up and held his face tenderly, while his own went into the bleach hair, weaving his fingers through the strands, pulling his boyfriend in even more into the kiss.
Breaking the contact, he asked, “What do you see?”
Laughing breathily, Taka nuzzled their nose. Seeing his love waiting for an answer, he leaned in once more, giving a quick peck. Turning in his seat, he opened the door and jumped out.

The both of them had snuck away from their friend’s bonfire party. They were now walking along the fencing surrounding the farm. Akira’s warms were wrapped warmly around his shoulders, words about sweet nothings floating in his ears.
Stopping their steps, he suddenly turned and gazed up in the blonde’s face. Eyes tracing the features of his boyfriend thoughtfully; the thin lips, the fawn like eyes, the beauty mark above his right eye.
Blinking, Akira laughed, “what?”
Lips pulling into a smile, he whispered, “I love you.”
The elder again blinked his eyes, surprised by the confession. Slowly though, his lips pulled into a smile and he combed his fingers through the soft hair; “I love you too.”

To say he was surprise was an understatement, but, he was. It was a late Saturday afternoon and Akira just showed up. The blonde looked a little more than nervous, which Taka didn’t know why. His boyfriend had been to his home more than enough times and he got along verily well with both his parents.
Taka just didn’t understand.
“Hey,” he greeted the other, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. “What are you doing here?”
Returning a quick kiss of his own, he asked softly, “Is your mom and dad here?”
“Yeah,” Taka nodded, head tilting with even more confusion, “they’re out back.”
“Think you can get them?”
Cocking a brow, he noticed the way Akira pocketed his hands and fidgeted nervously. Giving a slight nod of his head, he quickly went out back, calling out to his parents, “hey, mom, dad; Akira is here. He wants to talk to you guys.”
The two looked to each other. Setting down their tools and removing their gloves, they followed their son into the house. There, they found the blonde standing rigidly, the look of a frightened animal.
The elder man grunted, “what is it, Akira?”
“I-um,” he started, his voice cracking slightly. Swallowing and clearing his throat, he chuckled, “I want to-um-I’d like to get your permission.”
“What for?” Taka’s dad laughed.
“As you guys know, I’ll be graduating this year,” Akira started talking quickly, trying not to stumble over his words. He kept his face down, but, spoke clearly, “and I have a job lined up for me at the mill. I’ll be getting paid decently, enough to get a place and I already have a car, so, transportation won’t be a problem at all.”
Taka’s heart thumped loudly in his chest as his boyfriend continued to babble nervously. It slowly making sense to him, as well as his parents to what the other was trying to say.
“So, I’d be able to take care of him,” the blonde finished in one quick breath.
Taka’s father looked to his wife, eyes wide in disbelief. Turning back to the teen, he grimaced, “so, what is it exactly you’re asking?”
Swallowing the lump in his throat, Akira straightened and asked politely, “I would like your permission to marry your son.”
The air felt as if it had just been sucked out of the room. Everyone had practically held their breath as those words fell from the blonde’s lips. An immense feeling of joy and love rose in Taka’s chest; his eyes lit up and a huge smile plastered itself on his face. Only for a split second though.
“No,” the man answered sternly.
The look on Akira’s face was complete devastation. The same as the brunette, who also stared in horror of what his father just said.
“But, sir- the teen started, only to be silence.
“The answer is no,” he narrowed his eyes. Straightening his shoulder’s as well, he sighed, “in fact, from this moment on, I’d prefer if you never saw him again.”
“What?” Taka shouted in even more horror.
“Get out of my house,” he waved the elder teen off and went outside.
The both of them walked out the front; Akira’s head hung in defeat and Taka’s face streaked with tears.
Sighing, the older apologized, “I’m sorry… I just-I thought that-”
“It’s okay,” Taka whispered, quickly wrapping his arms around his boyfriend. Burying his face into the clothed chest, he sobbed, “I know you didn’t mean for this.”
Taking the shorter into a tight hold, he whispered, “I love you. I’m not going to give up.”
Smiling, he nodded his head, “I know you won’t”

He couldn’t control his emotions. He couldn’t control the tears that kept rolling down his face as he grabbed at his clothes. Throwing the articles of clothing into a bag, all the while his parents were right there, just as broken as him.
His mother sat on his bed, crying and sobbing. His father stood there with a look of guilt, regret and so much sadness. Taka couldn’t; he didn’t want to believe it. He wished it was all just a horrible nightmare and he’d wake up any second. How he wish he could give up all he had to turn this into a horrible dream.
Sniffling, he shook his head, “it can’t be.”
“I’m sorry, Taka,” the elder man whispered.
Feeling a wave of anger and pain rush over him, he turned screaming, “This is your fault! It’s all your fault!”
The entire time, his father didn’t even try to fight off, nor wrestle him. The elder merely stood there and took it; the guilt written all over his face.
“I hate you!” he screamed, hitting his father on the chest. He began to tire immediately, from the crying and the emotional turmoil, “I fucking hate you! This is your fault! I hate you!”
The elder’s arms came around him, hugging him tightly while he sobbed. “I’m sorry, Takanori.”
“Liar!” he wailed, shoving at the chest of the man, “liar! Say it! Say it! Say you hate him!”
Tightening his hug even more, the man petted the dark hair, “I’m so sorry, Taka. I’m so sorry.”
“Liar!” he continued to scream. Crying into the chest of his father; feeling the comforting stroke atop his head.
There was no comforting him. There will never be a way to comfort him. He had lost his whole world and he couldn’t get it back.

All those memories came back in a whirlwind as he stared at the spot in front of him; the grey, cold headstone in front of him. It had been a year and he’d never been able to move on. He’d never been able to find someone who could make him smile the way the blonde had. Never been able to find someone who held him the way Akira could.
Having become distant from his parents; still blaming his father for everything. Taka found a source of comfort in blaming his father for the wreck that took his boyfriends life. It felt easier to blame him for something no one had control over.
Wiping at a tear, he kneeled in front of the stone. Placing his hand against the cool surface, fingers dancing along the chiseled words, he smiled sadly. He still had so much to say to him; nothing more important than the answer Akira had always wanted to know.
Leaning forward and placing his lips lightly against the headstone, eyes shut, he whispered, “I see you.”
