Hi. I missed you guys!

***

It was a 2,500 mile flight that consisted of flying over the entire continental US, stuck in a plane seat for 6 hours. It was a tedious and tiresome event in one’s life, yet Rob couldn’t help but grin the entire time he spent sitting there, staring at the pretty girl beside him.

Hour One

“What?” Kristen’s nose wrinkled for the nth time that day, frowning at her boyfriend. “Fuck Rob, quit staring!”

Rob raised his hands in surrender. “What? I’m not doing anything!”

She huffed again as she slumped down on her seat, curling her body away from him. He chuckled as he reached over and tickled her sides.

“Rob! Get off me!”

“Shhhhh…” Rob hushed and wrapped an arm around her, burying his chin against her shoulder. “I was joking. And I was staring because you really look nice.”

“I look like crap.”

“Hmmm. Well, I suppose you do.”

Kristen rolled her eyes as she turned over, slapping him on the arm-hard.

“Mean!”

“Well, you did admit you didn’t look good,” Rob chuckled, barely missing another jab from Kristen. “Stop being so violent, babe.”

“Shut up!”

He smirked as he buried his face in her hair, giggling uncontrollably every time she wriggled away from him. Kristen finally gave up and slumped her body on the chair, frowning adorably at him.

“Stop doing that,” Rob whined, his lower lip jutting out. “I hate it when you do that.”

“I’m not doing anything.”

“Yes you are,” he mumbled, nudging her hair with the tip of his nose. “Stop being so adorable.”

Kristen snorted. “Oh I see, now you’re just pushing it. And you’re really bad at sucking up.”

“Am I now?” Rob hummed, nipping her earlobe gently. She shuddered. “Do I really suck?”

“Yes.”

“Hmmm, maybe I do suck,” he brushed her hair away, blowing softly against her ear. “Which part are we going to deal with first when we get to L.A.?”

Kristen flushed, sinking down on her seat. Rob laughed.

Hour Three

“I’m bored,” Kristen whispered, looking to the boy on her left. Her hand was wrapped tightly around his bigger one, his thumb brushing soothing circles on her skin. “Why is L.A. so fucking far anyway?”

Rob shifted, leaning over the seat console to kiss her. She sighed, her eyes closing briefly as she kissed back. Kristen grinned, her mouth twisting in amusement.

“Give me your script.” Rob raised an eyebrow at her, but kept his hold on it. “Seriously, Rob.”

“I’m trying to distract you from your boredom with other means and you want to read my script? I’m hurt, Kris.”

He sighed dramatically, faking his dismay by fanning himself with the script he was holding. She giggled quietly, her lip held captive by her teeth.

“I’m bored. And we’re not making out in this plane.”

“And why the hell not?”

Kristen snorted. “I’d rather not give you a hard time here, if you know what I mean.”

Rob huffed.

Hour Four

“You have the worst games on your iPad,” she muttered, her fingers flicking furiously over the touch screen. “Bad, bad choice of games.”

“Should I remind you that you’re the one who downloaded everything?” Rob deadpanned, his eyes flicking over to her side. “And love, no matter what you do, you’ll never get that candy in-”

“Shut up Rob!” Kristen muttered, her lip drawn between her teeth. “I can do this.”

“You said that for the past hour.”

“I really hate you right now, you know.”

“Do you really?”

She slapped him on the arm, rolling her eyes. “Shush. I’m concentrating.”

“With playing ‘Cut the Rope’?”

“Yes. Now shut up.”

Rob rolled his eyes, swiping his finger over the screen and effectively making the candy drop and making Kristen win the level. She pouted.

“I knew that,” she muttered, looking over the new level. He laughed. “Go back to whatever you were doing. Leave me alone here.”

“You’re adorable when you’re cranky,” Rob cupped her cheek, forcing her to look at him. “Terribly cute.”

“I’m bored.”

“I should do something about that, shouldn’t I?”

“Unless you can fly the fucking plane so we can get home faster, I’m pretty sure we have about two hours left of me being bored.”

“We can do a lot in two hours…”

Kristen snorted. “What is up with you today?”

“I’m on a six-hour flight,” he quipped, going back to his script. “You’d think I’d be more composed in a plane, but I’m not.”

“You’re fucking horny,” she whispered in his ear, giggling when he shivered. “You should play with this.”

She shoved the iPad in his hand, laughing at his stunned expression when he saw the open application.

“I hate you.”

Kristen shrugged, curling up beside him. “Should give you some ideas.”

“Fucking hell.”

Hour Six

“Ladies and gentlemen, we have just been cleared to land at the Los Angeles International airport. Please make sure one last time your seat belt is securely fastened. The flight attendants are currently passing around the cabin to make a final compliance check and pick up any remaining cups and glasses. Thank you.”

“Rob.”

Rob snorted in his sleep; a little drool coming out of the corner of his mouth. Kristen rolled her eyes, nudging his arm forcefully. He didn’t move.

“Rob.”

“Hmmmmrrrpphh…”

“Dude, seriously. You sleep like the dead.”

Rob sighed, opening one eye to look at her adorably rumpled and annoyed girlfriend.

“What?”

“We’re here!”

“Where?”

Kristen sighed, shoving him lightly. “What do you mean where? We’re in fucking L.A., finally.”

Rob sat up, blinking sleepily as he looked about the cabin. Passengers had started to fix themselves up, shoving random items inside their bags.

“Fuck,” he muttered under his breath, rubbing his eyes. “Finally. Fucking exhausting flight.”

Kristen snorted. The plane started its descent, the wheels bumping heavily against the concrete. Rob sighed as he and Kristen waited for the mass of people to disembark, choosing to hide under the security of their hoodies.

“We really should just go on private next time…” Rob muttered under his breath, making Kristen gawk at him. “What? It’d be nice.”

“You are so weird sometimes.”

“I am not. I’m just thinking of ways I could do things to you in a plane.”

Kristen laughed. “Perv.”

“But you love it,” Rob murmured, brushing a quick kiss to her ear. “Next time.”
