im baaack!
ah, back home! arrived around 11pm yesterday =) trip was pretty good! got to spend a good time away from my family (who drove me insane at the time), experience new things, and learned to appreciate my sweetie more.
during my first week, i was able to earn some cash by taking care of an elderly woman in new york for 2 days, and spent another day at my relatives place in long island, new york before heading back to new jersey. rather than having my relatives in new jersey come get me - its at least a 2hr drive with decent traffic - we decided to let me take the train! first stop was Penn Station, which i didnt even realize was new york city until we stepped out and i saw Madison Square Garden. doi! my aunt kept laughing at me because i was so clueless about it! we had an hour to 'waste' before taking another train to new jersey, so we went to the Macys nearby and she got this perfume ive been wanting as a late birthday gift! =D
i took the train to new jersey myself, which was pretty cool. this man who sat beside me kept giving me weird looks, perhaps it was my kuma that was sitting in my lap during the ride lol =) vic took all the other kumas i left back in canada while i was gone so he could take care of them =) my train stop was in South Amboy, and when i got off it was so strange because it didnt look like a real train station, just a random thing behind a couple little buildings in the middle of nowhere. but after a couple of minutes my uncle and cousin came to pick me up!
the following 2 weeks were spent trying to figure out how and when id be coming home. my parents couldnt come get me the first weekend nor the second weekend, so i would be staying in new jersey for a guaranteed 3 weeks if i were to wait for them. the drive itself is about 10-12hrs, depending on the stops you take. i kept looking up bus schedules and plane tickets so they wouldnt have to drive, but in the end they ended up coming anyway! my siblings only wanted to come to go shopping, which i thought was kinda rude to my relatives since my family would be using their place to sleep, shower, and eat. ah well...
during those 2 weeks i played and beat Super Paper Mario on the Wii! soooo much fun! we went to the beach twice, went to random malls and outlets, and played tennis in this really beautiful park! in that same park, i went fishing for the first time =) now i want to get my fishing license here! we watched The Bourne Ultimatum at this cute movie theatre, and also went to Atlantic City for a day! oh! and they have a really great landline plan, which allows them to call anywhere in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico (yes, random)... unlimited! so i was able to talk to my sweetie and family almost everyday =)
so overall, it was a good trip! coming home was really nice because we managed to stop by another outlet mall for a bit and i was able to drive for about 2hrs in new york =D and then seeing my sweetie was so nice =) he really liked the gifts i got him XD one of them was this happy mistake... while driving to new jersey, we stopped by a Burger King and i wanted a toy so i got a big kids meal. the toys at the time were Simpsons, so duh i really wanted one! but they didnt have anymore, so they gave me a Spiderman instead! always wanted to pick one up for vic since he loves spiderman as a tiny little random gift =) this one was really cool since it was magnetic and lit up its eyes when you either press a button or when its magnetized on something!
haha anyways, just another 2 weeks until school... gotta live it up!
