Hey any of you cool cats want to peer edit my admissions essay, especially if you are smart. It would be sooooo much appreciated thanks.
Life is an ongoing analogy. To different people at different times life can be a myriad of things. Forest Gump thought life was like a box of chocolates, and he did not know which one he was going to get. I on the other hand view life as one big dive, and the education, and experience you receive throughout life is the air that goes into your scuba tank. Math equations, chemical structures, essay formats, all of this along with life experiences are used to support you throughout your life. Just as air is stored in a scuba tank, and little by little released to help you breathe for the duration of your dive.
Universities differ from one to another in many aspects, curriculum, professors, student bodies, athletics, clubs, and numerous other factors make each university different. Depending on what you want out of your education, and what you want to do in life, some outshine the competition. These same principals apply as to which gas to utilize during a dive. Depending on the nature and intent of each dive, different nitrogen to air ratios can be used. Normal compressed air is 21% oxygen and 79% nitrogen and is used for shallow dives, while Nitrox can be up to 40% oxygen and 60% nitrogen and can be used for various depths.
When I prepare to dive I fill my tank with Nitrox, consequently I am prepared for anything that may happen while submerged. This is the reason for my application to Coastal Carolina University. Reminiscent of Nitrox, Coastal offers a diverse education, including a liberal arts background while sustaining a sturdy emphasis on the marine science major, which I plan on pursuing. Along with the education Coastal offers, it has countless other attributes reflect precisely what I am looking for. Study abroad options, a 19:1 student/faculty ratio, professors involved in research (Dan Abel, Paul Gayes etc.), along with a picturesque campus, and over 1000 acres on Waites island, converge to make Coastal Carolina University an all around impressive package. These copious aspects that compose Coastal formulate the perfect gas to fill my scuba tank, which will facilitate my submergence through life.
