So after the last entry I posted, I discovered that this community has quieted down a good deal in the months since TDK's release. It appears that I'm late to the party, but I've still got a proverbial full keg for anyone who's interested

I really liked the way that Harvey always has a backup plan. That's always kind of playing up to his theme of 2's in the comics, but it really kind of speaks of his experience as DA. He's always prepared, and just when the hero thinks he's cornered him, out Harvey comes with another scheme. What's interesting is that his coin as always is what prevents him from becoming worse - but really he's far more dangerous than he's often given credit for.
What's also great about this comic, is that even though its older, it certainly doesn't hold back as far as content goes.

An excellent observation. It's both a crutch that keeps him broken, but it's also the one thing holding him back from becoming an entire monster.
And awesome! At present, I'm on the road, my internet access limited to whatever places I can find that carry Wi-Fi along Route 66 (I'm in El Reno, OK, westbound), but once things calm down and I have the time, I'll check it out!

On scans_daily, I did a three-part post exploring the entire history of Gilda in comics and what she means or should mean to Harvey as a character. I'm gonna post these here sometime, but if you're interested in getting a head start, you can check them out here: Part One, Part Two, and Part Three. (Warning, though: I'm a little harsh toward THE LONG HALLOWEEN)
I've written a Harvey novel, currently in its fourth draft, and one of the primary focuses has been on finally trying to make Gilda as complex and important as she's always needed to be. I've always felt like once I've nailed her, I've nailed the book. I'm almost there.
Egads, I didn't even notice the pink skies. Oh shitty 80's coloring, how I do not miss you.
You're very welcome, thank *you* for your thoughtful
