All About You

1. Describe your ideal house/home. Please go into as much detail as possible, and be sure to include your ideal geographical location in the description!.
I love modern architecture and aesthetics. My ideal haus (what I call a super modern house) would be minimalist and clean with lots of windows and funky lamps from Ikea. I don't like the look of clutter (despite having my fair share of it), so there would be lots of compartments, closets, nooks, and cabinets worked into the design of the house. But it would not just be a cold, sterile environment, I would want warmer aspects too: unfinished wood, paintings, overlapping carpets of different patterns, and lots of color. Bathrooms would have natural stone floors, and bowl tubs/sinks. Technology is a big part of my life so I would want kooky gadgets and devices peppering my home. Not in an obscene detached from-reality way, but you gotta have some fiber coming into the house. "I like plants but hate the high maintenance of flowers, so moss is boss and succulents are my bff's. I would also want a zen rock garden in place of a traditional grass lawn, with sand, pebbles and the occasional tree and shrubbery. Solar panel roof because I am eco-friendly like that and some balconies/decks for outdoor festivities. I love water and would like to be close to it, but too close and you are infested with mosquitoes or hurricanes in the summer.

2. Imagine you’re given the classic opportunity: a genie granting you three wishes. What would you wish for? Please be as elaborate as you can. Wishing for more wishes is not permitted!
Oh I hate these questions so much because it's impossible to not regret choosing more. I would wish for:
1. The ability to learn any skill with great ease. This includes languages, STEM, martial arts, etc... Think downloading from the matrix. I like to be prepared and it would mean doing more than in one lifetime, without being immortal, which is often a wish in these kinds of constructs. I could not only help people but pursue all the other fields I could not.
2. To fly! Everyone does. This conflicts with my fear of heights but I think if I could fly I could get over it. I mean, it's flying.
3. Hair management. This is so incredibly superficial and a waste of a genie wish but my hair has been the bane of my very existence for as long as I can remember. No shampoo can tame it. No chemical straightening process can change it. No thinning out can combat the bulk. I want the ability to change my hair as I see fit, this includes never having to pluck my eyebrows every again.

3. In your life so far, what accomplishment are you the most proud of? Why? You can list more than one if you have trouble deciding. ;)
I honestly do not know. Finishing college on time and being with someone I love. A lot of people have difficulty with those things so I am thankful that I have an education and support from my SO. I will say I have yet to complete grander accomplishments.

4. Which of the following is most important to you: Love, Money, Knowledge, Family, Friendship, Adventure, or Pleasure? Which is the least important to you? Please explain why for each choice.
I feel like this question is a very determinant factor in this sorting business. I would have to say Love and Knowledge. Love are the bonds that tie together family and friendships, not to mention serious relationships. Knowledge is incredibly important as well, it cures ignorance, which plagues the world and causes most of our problems IMO. In an ideal world, Money isn't important, but it is. I already talked about Love and Knowledge. Adventure is important because without it we have no drive. Pleasure is important because it makes us happy and that's pretty vital to humanity as well. I feel like family and friendship are both pretty hard to say are unimportant, but considering for many some are interchangeable, it's a toss up between those two. Some friends are our family and family our friends. Love supersedes both, so there's that.

5. What's one quote (or passage, song lyric, etc.) that effectively describes you and your values? Explain.
Change. Think. Grow. I like these three concepts because they are vital to surviving in this world. People change but often times not in a way that is productive for their lives. You need to evolve, adapt, and react to your environment and situations. Going through the same motions doesn't help anybody, yourself included. Think, because as I mentioned ignorance and close-mindedness are often the catalysts for disagreements and inequalities. The more people think and learn, the better off we are as a society. Grow. I believe in self-evaluation and bit by bit making oneself better. Not only myself but others. Growth is similar to change but sometimes things don't have to change for you to grow. New outlooks can shift your perspective, and make you a better person.

6. How do you manage your money? On that note, how important is money/financial security to you? Go into as much detail as you can.
I try to hold on to it. It's very important to me to be financially stable, as it allows me to be independent. Money isn't everything, but it is a lot of things. Money can provide great comfort or none at all. I have had a hard time holding onto money (student loans), but am not risky with it. I abhor gambling and bets. Money can make the difference between freedom and indentured servitude. Money can get you out of shitty situations or away from destructive people. It doesn't solve all your problems, but it can solve a whole great many.

7. Name (and elaborate on) some of your hobbies. What are your favorite things to do outside of school/the office?
Reading, Internet/Blogging, Sewing- I don't sew as much anymore but it is a hobby I enjoy and want to pursue when I have more time. Art/Painting/Drawing- Creativity! I love making things. crafts, art, sculpture. Table-top Games like Arkham Horror and Dominion, PC Gaming, etc...

8. Name three things you are afraid of. Explain.
Darkness- We are afraid of that which we do not understand. And in the dark, we cannot see. I am afraid of what I can't see.
Heights- I think most people are afraid of heights. Even on a step-ladder I get wobbly.
Getting burnt- Most of my fears appear to be very physical. I burn myself all the time on my flat-iron, but despite that being just as hot as the oven, I am afraid of getting burned in the kitchen or when interacting with fire. Very The Hound.

9. Name (and elaborate on) your top three BEST and top three WORST qualities (personality-related, not physical). Please answer as fully as you can, as this is an important question.
Best
1. Pensive- I am thoughtful and articulate. Maybe not here but MOST OF THE TIME, OKAY?
2. Organized. I am the logistics person in my friend group. What time do we have to be there? Are reservations required? How much are tickets?  How will we get there? Who is driving who? I can answer all those questions and more, or I at least try to. Master of operations.
3. Energetic- Sometimes I have energy that is infectious. Many time I do not, but there are moments where I can be decidedly full of life and get others to look past their problems. I have been told I bring out the best in people.
Worst:
1. Negativity, as it permeates my life like a low fog, and can make staying positive difficult. Hello unemployment!
2. Self Doubt, because everyone blames themselves and I do more.
3. Short Temper- SO MANY FEELINGS.

A Song of Ice and Fire Related

1.How many books from the series have you completed?
5

2.Who are your favorite three characters in the series? Why?
Oh that's hard. Asha is my absolute favorite. She is just so amazing and multifaceted. I love her sense of duty and strength, with her Queensmoot and a crew that respects her. She also makes good decisions, a rarity in the books sometimes, ha. She is a very dynamic character, that has great energy and I just want to hang out with her! She is a slutty pirate wench, the best kind. And her BF is one of the best swordsman in Pyke!
Everyone thinks Jon Snow is so boring but I don't. I like his character a lot. The quiet, unwilling hero is a very common trope, but like a lot of GRRM's characters, he is just different enough to fall outside of such a narrow box. I identify with him, and think he is a cool dude. He's a great swordsman, wargs it up, is pretty clever, looks out for others, and it sentimental.
Arya is another I really, really like. But that goes without saying as she is pretty much universally liked. She's such a little spitfire and I like how she doesn't forget who she is through all of the things she has been through. Feminism!
I don't want to limit myself to just three! Brienne is badass yet vulnerable, and Tyrion is witty and enjoyable to read. Sansa shows so much growth and determination. Lady Olenna is effin' hilarious. Margery is kind and mischievous. Mormont's raven makes any scene funny imo, Gendry is a great foil to Arya, etc...

3.Who are your least favorite three characters in the series? Why?
Hidzar no Lorac mo Nakloz and the 6000 slavers whose names all sound alike. They are all terrible and I partially blame them for Dany's sluggish pace through Essos.
Daario, because he was such a douchebag and I hated reading about him.
Ramsay Snow, because poor Reek.
Probably more, like the Freys and Joffery, Vargo Hoat, etc...

4.#1 Favorite moment in all of ASOIAF so far? Why?
Ohhhhhhhh that's a toughie! I really like when Mormont gives Jon Longclaw. There's something about how Jeor is missing is son and how Jon is missing a father that it just fits in so nicely. And Mormont's raven is chatting it up. Basically anything that bird does is my favorite moment. Or when stuff overlaps- like when patchface prophesies or when we learn things about characters from other characters that would be important to them but they aren't around for it. Stuff like that makes me go WOW, BRAVO. Great storytelling. I also liked Sansa's introduction to the Queen of Thorns, Arya training as a faceless man, and the red wedding because SHIT WENT DOWN.

5. In your dream-world, how would you like to see the series end, and why?
I am copping out and saying I want the series to end as how it's intended by GRRM. I don't even know what I want to happen because every time I do, I change my mind. I wanted Dany to TAKE WHAT IS HERS WITH FIRE AND BLOOD but after looking at her choices and marinating on her character, I don't want her to succeed anymore. Like if she does, great, but I want to see how it ends straight from the horses mouth, not some amalgamated ending I made up because I am biased.
