So.... the play was a hit. We really nailed the opening night. It was hard going putting the show together after our friend died, but somehow we pulled through. I haven't seen the review in today's Canberra Times but people have rung up to tell me I get a direct mention praising my performance. There's another review here:

In other news... I'm sick. As frequently happens when you're under a lot of stress, my immune system gave way. I now have a cold and I'm struggling to get better in time for tomorrow's performance. I'll still perform even if I'm sick (the show must go on) but obviously I'd rather perform while I'm well so it's not a battle. Feeling pretty lousy right now -- but after having had gastro recently I have a vivid memory of what it feels like to be really sick.
Even with the challenges this play has been a really positive experience. I'll write more about that when I'm feeling better.
