He didn't so much appear through a door or between steps as from a massive cloud of pink smoke and a shout of 'WEEEEHOOOO!' In fact, steps had nothing to do with it. He rolled out of the post-explosion haze and ended up on his backside, grinning up at the very new surroundings that looked nothing like the labs he'd been working in

Jim is unimpressed by your pink explosions, Evan. He's standing over him, looking down, and holding a mop (it's the mop he came in with.)

Unstable nuclear reactions, however, are entirely awesome and when you deal with people like Braig and Ienzo regularly, you know it's being dealt with intelligently.
