Game: Sunnydale OSI
Who: Laili and Wesley
Where: There new home
When: Tuesday, March 2, 1998
Wesley walked into the third home of the day. Laili and he had both taken the day off to be able to try and find a house for what was now a family of five, including Amir. Neither of their current homes fit their needs, and, since homes were so cheap in Sunnydale, they had decided to purchase a home. The first two homes were lacking in different things: too small rooms, tiny kitchen, bad location. Hopefully this home will work for them.
"Hm.. this one looks a little more promising," Laili said as they approached. There were two stories, and according to the real estate lady, it had a full basement. "It looks sturdy, and in good repair from the outside at least. And there's a nice yard..." It was a hopeful sign. Laili squeezed her husband's hand and smiled.
He smiled back at her. He still couldn't believe that she was his wife. It was amazing to him. "So far, so good. Let's try looking in the kitchen and see if it's bigger than the last home."
Laili glanced around as they made their way inside. "Ooh, hardwood floors. Nice entry..." She headed towards the kitchen. There seemed to be a lot of cabinet space, and an island and everything. "Hm... do you think this is big enough for all of us?"
"Yes, I think it is. At least it's big enough to cook for more than one person." The last place had a kitchen that had been hard to turn in, much less walk in. "I think this will cover the five of us."
"So far so good... looks like there's a dining room through here," Laili said, heading through a large opening to check it out. "And hm... that must be the living room through there..."
He thought that Gwen and Tia would be thrilled with this place, as long as it had enough bedrooms. "It's quite large, which is good. I wonder if the girls will like it."
"I think so," Laili said. "The basement would be nice for them to hang out in, or work on things. As long as they have a nice bedroom, I think they'll be fine." She headed for the stairs to check out what the upper floor looked like. "It seems to be an older home, but it has a lot of character. I like them better than the more modern places anyhow."
He followed her up the stairs, where there were four bedrooms and two bathrooms. "Two bathrooms, that's good to have with two teenage girls in the home." Each of the bedrooms looked quite large as well.
"And there's more bedrooms than we need, which means we can turn one into a home office if we wanted, or a nice place for Amir to roost..." Laili was pleased with this place. The view from the upper windows was nice, too. "I think this may be the one..."
"I'm glad you said that, because I was just thinking the same thing." The home was even well within their price range. "Should we go tell the real estate, or make her wait some more?"
"Hm... I suppose we should try to bargain for a lower price, but it's already quite affordable. Let's just tell her that we'll take it," Laili said. She hugged Wesley tightly. "I'm so excited."
He hugged her back. "Then let's go downstairs and inform her that we would like to buy the home." They would all be living together now.
"Alright, husband, let's do that..." Laili said, and followed him down the stairs. She liked sneaking the word 'husband' into the most ordinary conversations - the word was still new to her, and brought her a happiness she thought was lost to her.
He wrapped his arm around her waist. "Anything you want, wife." It was still novel to say that.
"My husband and I have decided we like this place," Laili said. "We'll take it." She smiled at how wonderful that all sounded.
