For life...

Meg and I spent the day at Wonderland. We had a total blast. All the rides were great and the water park took the edge off the scorching heat. The park was jammed but we made the best of it and found our way on to rides when the lines were short.

We packed it in a bit early and decided to head over to Vaughn Mills. I've been there a few times now and the shear size of the place never ceases to amaze me. We made our way through the stores at a record pace as we only had an hour before we had to head on. Meg bought a couple things from a couple cool stores and she bought me a cool jacket. Same deal as yesterday. She saw the look in my eyes when I tried it on and snatched it away from me to buy it. What an awesome chick. I'm just glad it was on sale, otherwise I would have felt like a total asshole.

We checked out this cool urban store and I asked one of the store employees a random question about what time the mall closed. She turned out to be super cute, and next thing I know Meg and I are BOTH flirting with her. These are the times that it is super fucking rad to have a lesbian for a best friend.

Meg and I ditched the mall just as they were closing and made our way over to Yorkdale, with the plan being to grab some dinner and then she would jump on the subway to head back to Union Station and catch a bus home to Hamilton. As it turns out, things didn't quite work out that way.

We tried to have dinner at the "Rain Forest Cafe". But they closed about 15 minutes before we arrived. The front desk attendant was kind enough to point us in the direction of "Pickle Barrel". Which turned out to be open fairly late. I had never had dinner there before, but I would definitely go again. Awesome menu. Probably the largest menu I've ever seen at a single restaurant. They had almost anything you could possibly want; Except for garlic bread with cheese. Go Figure.

The restaurant was almost deserted. So Meg and I were pretty much alone in the area in which we were sitting. This made for awesome conversation. Meg and I always interact the best when we're uncensored. We ate and talked and and laughed our asses off. I can't convey how much I enjoyed it. It felt fantastic to be chilling with her again.

We left the restaurant and she was going to catch the subway. When I realized that it was already getting close to midnight, I told her I'd drive her to Union. The last bus out of Toronto was leaving at Midnight and I didn't want her to miss it. So I got on the highway, and completely drove past the exit I needed with out realizing it. By this time it was too late to turn back. So we just kept heading west and I drove her into Hamilton myself. The only problem was that when we got there, we didn't know which exit to take. Meg took a guess and we were off and running... in the wrong direction. After driving into what appeared to be farmland Meg finally gave her sister a call and got some directions. An hour and 45 minutes after leaving Yorkdale we arrived at her house. So I drop her off. Then after getting directions on how to head out of Hamilton. I leave... and get lost after about three turns. (Not my fault. Directions I had were faulty) So I head back, get the proper route out and head home.

The drive home was great. It was one of those nights where driving is incredibly enjoyable. Clear weather, good music, no traffic on the highway.

Over all the last couple days were awesome. It felt great to be spending time with Meg again, and it was a reminder to both of us I think, of how we need to do this kind of thing more often. The best part of all though, is knowing that we could go years apart and pick up right where we left off the next time we saw each other.
