I first broached this here about a year and a half ago. Even then, there were a lot of intimations about Rove's furtive behavior after hours in DC (even mentioned in the Washington Times). Since then, there have been regular reports in the blogoshpere about sighting of Rove at various "discreet" gay clubs and private "safe sex parties" and so on - as well as intimations that the relationship between Rove and Guckert-Gannon may have been more than professional. Or rather professional in more than one sense of the word.

The most recent reference I've seen to Rove's sexuality was in an interview with Janeane Garofalo:

The only interesting thing about Karl Rove, in my opinion, is that he is, I believe, gay or bi. I find that to be the only likeable thing about him. I think that Karl Rove should be outed as gay only because if their fundamentalist evangelical right-wing backers (I know that a lot of progressives are evangelical, I'm just talking about the conservative fundamentalists) knew that one of their masters, Karl Rove, is in ( ... )
