Can one truly understand or empathize with discrimination if they've never experienced it?
I love my boy, but the one subject that he seems not to understand at all is discrimination. Granted, he's a WASP, so how would he know? But instead of trying to understand he just gets really uncomfortable, changes the subject immediately, and acts like there's something wrong with me for bringing it up.
Any suggestions on how to remedy this? Other than "just give him time".
