Hail Frozen Over

Yesterday, several tornadoes were spotted in the area. When I got home from work, I was out in the back yard taking pictures of some of the ominous clouds when I heard a loud bang. It sounded like the neighbor was hitting a piece of metal. More bangs and clunks echoed around me with increasing rhythm when I realized that it was starting to hail. Not a good sign when it's perfect tornado conditions. So, back inside I went and started watching the news. I was desperately hoping that no weather warnings or cable outages would interrupt me taping "Clone Wars Chapter 22."

No tornadoes hit near me. There were some damages in the next town, but nothing major. No interruptions in cable signal. It all worked out fine other than the EQ2 and WoW servers were going done a lot. (What's new?)

Everything was fine until later that night. A neighbor was going around the neighborhood with information and a petition. Apparently, the company that bought the land north of our neighborhood where they built two warehouses is going to buy (or has bought) the land to the east, south, and southwest of us. Supposedly, the plan is to build more warehouses almost completely surrounding my neighborhood. There's going to be a meeting at the City Hall Thursday, so I'll find out more. The guy that came by last night was saying he hopes they want to buy us out.

I've only been in my house for a little over two years. That's about the same time for most of the people in the neighborhood. All the houses are new, and new houses are still being built. I doubt they'll want to buy us out. At least not at the moment. (They'll probably wait until all the warehouses are completed and the property value is practically nothing.) If I remember the meeting, I'm going to go. Hopefully nothing too bad will come of all this.

everquest, neighborhood, weather, star wars, wow
