Went out to eat with pitbullpotpie, Brandon, Roy, and MonsterMustDie at La Tavola Trattoria. Good food and even better company. Of course, there were some very generous gifts from Gillian that I will be able to use at the Pumpkin Carving Party. 

Started the day by going to the plant sale at Oakhurst Community Garden in Decatur, where I bought a couple of heirloom tomato plants and some herbs. They had all kinds of plants on sale, including a lot of really pretty succulents and native trees and shrubs.

Dinner tonight: fresh vegetable dumplings from the Buford Highway Farmers Market, home made blueberry lemon bread for desert and, for a final snack, guacamole and chips.

No work today. No job leads either, so things were pretty quiet here at el Rancho, except for the ongoing health issues with our senior room mate, Doris Katz. She is still on antibiotics for the eye thing of mysterious origin that has her white blood cell count very high. She had not pooped for two days but was till eating until last night.
