So the DaVinci Code is out on DVD and thus it's on commercials again...
I am pretty tired of people being all outraged that the movie sucks when the book was "so good" because, frankly, the book was pretty badly written. The only reason people turned pages was because the chapters were each 2 pages long and each sentence gave about .8 facts so you HAD to read the next sentence and the next page to understand ANYTHING that was happening.
And having read an older book of Dan Brown's (pre-Angels and Demons and pre-DaVinci Code), I can honestly say that the characters are always exactly the same and the plots are just overly dramatic and filled with stereotypes.
Actually, I think he should write for 24... I think it'd work out well for all parties involved.
So here is my request: could everyone just please stop claiming to love the DaVinci Code? A book that deserves your love is one that is brilliant everytime you read it--not something that bores you once you get beyond the "omg wtf happens next?!" element.
