I'm changing my condo, and I'm very 'cited! Most of what this is is me writing down notes about what's happening and what I'm gonna do with it:
New, REAL hardwood floors that have a natural, considerably brighter tone!
New carpet that the cats haven't fucked up!
More lights! (on that note, no more fluorescent!)
French doors to the sun room that allow me to close it off to bring down heating/cooling costs as well as provide an isolated space for things like my Christmas tree in the winter that the cats can't get to.
New HVAC with redone ducts that have no mold in them (also, the power bill will be half of what it normally is in the summer)
No more plumbing leaks!
Oh, and new paint job everywhere
in 24 great-smelling colors.
To support this idea of brightening the space with lighter floor colors and more lights, the paint colors will be lighter too. Also, I'm going to be replacing the living room furniture with something not so... dark. I think a white corner couch for the living room will work really well and have the same number of seats as right now but be one piece of furniture! And a stained wooden coffee table with a glass center to go in front of it. Yesssss.
The black couch, chair, and tables will likely wind up in the sun room. I'll figure out that space more once those items are in it.
The dining room is getting a chandelier made with brass and glass that provides more light and looks much fancier. Also, I'm finally gonna get chairs, and they'll be brighter to contrast the black dining table.
MOAR to come.
