Making Amends
“More tea, John?”
“Sherlock, I’ve barely started the one you made five minutes ago!”
“A biscuit, then? We have HobNobs! Ah... no, I used the last few earlier. You wouldn’t know, of course, but HobNobs have just the right texture- Ah. Not interested. Jaffa Cakes, then? Or I could go to Tesco?”
“Sherlock!” John’s tone is sharper than he intends, but Sherlock’s been fussing ever since they returned from A&E. “I’m fine. It’s only my nose that’s broken.”
Sherlock flushes. John sighs. “Look, I forgive you. Just - even if it’s an experiment - never take the hinges off the door again.”
