Snow! We finally got some snow! I don't think it's gonna reach the amounts they were predicting earlier, 8-12", but it's the first significant snowfall we've had all winter.
I often wonder what other parts of the country think when the northeast gets snow, because The Weather Channel and most of the news outlets make such a big deal of it. I guess it's probably because they are also on the East Coast; The Weather Channel in Atlanta and NBC Nightly news in New York City. I'm sure the rest of country probably laughs at us because we get so worked up over so little accumulation. But we just don't get snow like we used to. 10, even 20 years ago, we used to get much more snow than we do now and more frequently.
I'm not complaining though. I like to look at the snow, and tube in the snow, and they say snow kills germs in the air and everybody I know is sick, but I don't like to drive in it or shovel it.
It did, however, have the common courtesy to come on the weekend.
