Deadline
The synopsis for the next section is completed. It's about seven chapters in length. It took me most of the afternoon to write up because there's so much information to wade through. Hopefully I can do it justice ;)
I completed the first chapter today (3,700 words). I know I usually take a day out in between sections to get myself ready for the new material but I really don't have time for that luxury anymore. I now have an official deadline for completing the novel because... in five weeks time I'm moving house and I'd really like the book finished before then. I know how much of a hassle moving house is and I also know that it will take me a while to get comfortable in the new place and feel ready to write again. I really want this novel completed before that so that I don't lose the momentum and have to finish the book after a big break.
I took a look at my notes and I have three more sections to complete after this one. It's certainly achievable if I knuckle down and get the work done. I just hope I don't get too distracted with the excitement of preparing for the move ;)
