1514: Complete

Feb 19, 2010 15:06

I have completed the final two chapters of this section of the book, 1514. It was a really fun year to write because so many factual events take place. I love weaving fiction around fact; it just seems to bring history back to life. Corny, I know ;)

Chapters seven and eight totalled 7,000 words. There has been a lot of character development through these latter chapters. I love seeing these famous historical figures as children. Imagining how their minds worked and what their dreams and hopes were. It doesn't matter whether it's right or wrong, it's about opening them up and showing them as real people instead of two-dimensional characters out of a history book. It's exciting :)

I'll work on a synopsis for the next section, 1515, on Monday. It means trawling through all my history books. I love researching, it's so interesting. There's always more and more to learn.
