Finding the Right Pace

I'm afraid the illness has kept me from writing very much at all this last week. But I really wanted to get back to it this week. As hard as it is for me to sit at the computer and write, I hate not doing it. I'd rather suffer and write than have nothing to show at the end of the day.

So far I have completed the prologue and chapters one and two. The book is coming along slowly but really nicely. With only writing one chapter at a time I'm finding my writing is better, and that the chapters feel less rushed. As much as I wouldn't have chosen to write this way I can see there are benefits to it.

I aim to write one chapter every day this week, regardless of how ill I feel. I'll see how well I do by the end of the week.

At the moment I have written 6,000 words (fifteen pages) of the fifth volume of "Soul Mates". It's definitely slow going but I am still really, really enjoying it.
