In Search of Beta
Okay, so you know how I said I had a new fic in the works a few week back? Well, the good news is that I still have it, the bad news is that I apparently lack any sort of writing ability and so was hoping one of you kind souls would be willing to be my beta. Now, be careful when agreeing to do this as I tend to like to bounce ideas around with people and really talk through the characters and their motivations and whether their behaviour is the right course of action etc, so sadly you won't be able to get away with crossing the 't's and dotting the 'i's as it were. I know my previous beta really enjoyed doing it and I think it is an enjoyable experience and will hopefully make you feel part of the story and the character's journey as well.
Now I've turned you all off the idea, I should probably say what the premise of the story is. Basically, it's an AU, Jack and Ianto are living together and have been together about three years when Gray - the brother whom Jack hasn't seen since their mother's death - arrives on their doorstep. Needless to say, he has a hidden agenda and Ianto does end up getting caught very much in the crossfire. I won't say too much more about it as it will get quite dark but if you are interested, just comment here or PM me and I'll explain more about the story and the central event which it pivots around.
I should probably also say that Ianto is a type one (insulin dependent) diabetic and it really is a central feature of the plot so any working knowledge of diabetes and its complications would be a huge bonus. Don't worry if you don't have one, we'll work it out together or use a bit of artistic license
