So Christmas time is always kind of tough.
Not sure why.
Nothing tragic ever happened.
You know, like "oh, my Grandma got killed in car accident... I hate this time of year"
Nothing crazy.
I just think winter and Christmas can be an incredibly lonely time of year.
Even non-sympathetic jerks like me get sensitive.
Case in point---
My favorite Christmas song...
I think I've written about it before:

But there is more to it...
Like an idiot I did some research into the song.
The woman who comes in about 1:25 into the song, Kirsty MacColl is now dead.
She's the daugther of an English folk singing legend... Ewan MacColl.
Kirsty's death is very controversial.
She was killed while Scuba diving off-shore near Mexico.
In an area where motor boats were restricted...
When she came back to surface, a speed boat hit her.
She died instantly.
Turns out, witnesses say a Mexican super-market millionaire was driving the boat.
Instead--- one of his employees took the fall.
MacColl's family was awarded about $2200 in restitution and the employee served no time in jail.
To this day, the Mexican government says they'll do something about it.
But it's been 7 years and there is still no justice for MacColl.

Happy Christmas.
