Being buried in commissions is tough, I've been working non-stop. I did have a great time yesterday when a friend came over for a crochet party, ha. I did get a facebook, which I don't know how to use fully yet, but it seems like twitter. :3

Hi!
It's been quite a while since my last visit here - life got really busy and time sparse on my hands. That, of course, does not mean that I don't crochet anymore - it just took a different form. Now my main crafts time is traveling time.
Anyhow, I'd like to ask you a question in relation to one of my most recent creations:
( a white seal. )

I'm working on a custom order for 2 brindle pitbulls and 1 shiba inu. I haven't started the shiba yet, but I just finished the pitbulls yesterday. The brindle coats were hard to figure out, but I finally settled on 2 strands of sock yarn held together as one. It's the best I can do short of hand dying.

Over the weekend, I started to make this animal head. I wasn't sure what it looked like, but my husband thought it looked like a seal. Except that it was a complete, separate head. So I started my pattern again, using the same nose and forehead, but making a thick neck instead of closing the head off. And I came out with a seal ( Read more... )
