Owl :O

This was meant to be a monkey... xD Hence the banana bag. It turned into an owl after the body was made though -- for the simple reason of 'I forgot to do the arms correctly' afterwards. Whoops.... ^^;

Oh well.. it's still really cute :D This is the fifth ami I've done [I'll probably post a picture of my others once I get good shots of them :) ]

Aw! So cute!

I don't think they have ears, but some owls have things that look like ears? Wow, I never thought of it.

Very cute. Who says owls can't like bananas?

The great horned owl has feathers that look like ears, but most owls don't have "ears." Birds in general don't have external ears (the pinna or part that sticks out from our heads), but they do have internal ear parts for hearing. Otherwise, there wouldn't be much point in them singing to each other. :P

Thank you so much~<3 :3
Exactly! xD

Oh, I'm glad you posted that info! x) It was really nagging at me [like a question that just HAD to be answered.. lol] o.o
--And now I know for sure they DO have ears, internal, of course~ [You know, if that question ever happens to come up within my bird-oblivious family x) Yay!]

I wasn't totally sure what the situation was either, so I verified it with some quick Googling. What did we do before Google? Not like I would have gone and found an encyclopedia to look it up!

I collect owls, and looking aroudn my bedroom, I can tell you that about half mine are bald-headed like yours, and the other half have tufty little cat ears :D

Now, I know perfectly well that they are feathers, and not actually "ears", but for simplicity's sake, I just say, yes, owls can have ears.

Yay! At least I know the ami doesn't look weird in the 'owl' department, then~ xD

Hm, good point :D I've been getting a few mentions of internal ears, so I would have to say they do, also~

Oh, he's a LOVELY owl!! :o) Clever friend's suggestion to turn the nose, and his eyes are soooo owly! The colors are beautiful, and remind me of the mottled feathers on many owls! He looks perfect with no ears!

ETA: Oops! Forgot I wanted to say how much I LOVE the banana bag!! Cute as a button! :o)

All God's children got ears, well, maybe not worms and snakes...

Anywho, I guess it depends on what type of owl you are making.

Great horned owl: (those tufts of feathers are just to make him look sexy, they aren't his ears)
