At the risk of sounding like, oh, everyone else "omigod, i'm going/not going back to school!" I feel the need to pontificate on the fact that exactly 7 years ago today, I was negotiating the sleeping arrangement in an oh-so-luxurious-Wellesley-triple, thus beginning a long series of events that has resulted in, well, this live journal. (A hundred and twenty thousand dollars well spent...) Actually, scratch that...the night is still young, I was still sitting in the sports center listening to poems entitled "My Daughter Went Off To College Too, So I'm Going To Make Your Parents Cry Now" and "Life Is..." Don't remember the exact content of the latter, but I feel certain it involved a tree and breathing. Yikes. That's enough pontificating.

For a month of not working, I seem to be surprisingly busy. I blame it on trips to Dorchester, Medford, the Berkshires and Virginia. And on Tuesday I leave to Vermont for a civil union officiated by an emu, maple milkshakes (I am suspicious), and what are apparently "The Best French Fries In The Whole Wide World Courtesy of Al [who is not an emu]." I have to say, though, Al needs to work hard to beat the fries I had in Amsterdam.

Don't you think that Planned Mealtime Spontaneity is a good acronym?
