1. Island Beneath The Sea - Isabel Allende - 457 pages. Wonderful book set in pre-revolutionary Haiti (Santo Domingue), Cuba and New Orleans. Focuses on the wars, the slave rebellions and the way races interacted during those days. Loved it!
