Gosh, five days since my last post?

Not too much has been going on. Still doing water aerobics 4 nights a week, and trying to fit in movies on the weekends when I can. Last Friday night I went to see Burn After Reading and really enjoyed it. Definitely an excellent Coen Brothers flick, and the only thing that was slightly jarring/disappointing is that it ends suddenly. It just stops!

Saturday I had a visit from my birthmom P and her friend C, and we braved the madness at Fabric Depot for their "last ever" 40% off of all fabrics sales. Next was a stop at CardSmart which is shutting down for business, and had some deals. I signed up to play their special bonus points game, but didn't really browse for cards or anything else. I'll have to stop by there again soon to stock up on stationery and whatever eles piques my interest.

Saturday afternoon I had a nice long chat with my neighbors and V will be joining me at water aerobics tonight to see if she's interested in starting to come to the sessions. She's also invited me for drinks on Friday (details to be firmed up) and was saying that she needs to find me a guy! Hee!

After that I trekked across town to the VA Hospital to see my Uncle J who was there again for the last few days. Fortunately for him and unfortunately for me, he was discharged less than an hour before I arrived, so that was an entirely wasteful trip across town.

Sunday I cleaned up some more about the house, got the futon ready for my parents and did some grocery shopping. After they arrived, I "cooked" dinner. I had gotten a Greek Herbed Roasted Chicken and made a caesar salad, baked potatoes and steamed broccoli. Everything was done in the microwave or pre-cooked, but it all turned out very tasty. We ate out on my patio in the backyard.

Tonight after work my folks and I will be having dinner at Acapulco and then I'll hit water aerobics with V. Today was a carpool day, and I'm glad we got back on track with the two days a week after skipping the last two weeks. It really does make a difference in gas usage and it's nice to have someone to talk to and get out of driving one of the days. (The last two weeks between a combination of the holiday and just not talking about it, we each drove all the 9 work days separately).
