Was hanging out doing laundry and wondering what I'd do for the day, when I got a phone call from my favorite neighbor. He had a special coupon for Le Creuset, and they had a sale going on, so we headed down to the Woodburn Outlet Stores. I hadn't been there before, and we were on a search for a U of O shirt for him as well as the particular cast iron piece that he wanted.
He treated for coffee after we got there and we ended up wandering through a few stores. He found what he wanted at Le Creuset, at a 45% off discount, and afterwards we decided to stop at the Mikasa store on the way back to the truck. Turns out that they are closing that store, so everything in the store was an additional 25% off the lowest price. I found a great salad/serving bowl set of two from the Cafe Nova line. They're solid white with a square base and rim, and will be great for serving salads with my white settings. With the discount the set was only $26. An awesome deal for china!
We then headed back towards home. It was nice to hang out with him and catch up and we had a great conversation. He's a great friend as well as my favorite neighbor of all time!
Tommorrow I'm heading out to McMenanmin's Edgefield for a birthday party for a friend/former neighbor of my birthmom. Should be fun, and it's always great to spend more time with her too. Later my folks might stop by on the way to their hotel for a trip to Vegas, and will stay over with me on their way back home (since their plane gets back so late).
