Snickers Update Part Trois
So she had her followup appointment at the vet this morning and A took her. She hasn't really been eating or drinking well since she came home from her weekend at the vet, and has been puking up the antibiotic pill (lovely yellow foamy mess). Anyway, they gave her an antibiotic injection as an alternative, and sub-cutaneous fluids to help fix her up. She had lost 0.7 pounds just since last Saturday morning, so that wasn't good.
A called after they had been home for a bit, and reported that she had eaten some kibble and had some water too, so here's hoping the new meds and the fluids keep her on the path to recovery.
We've also got to take her back tomorrow morning for more antibiotics and sub-Q fluids, and I'm not sure if her drains were taken out yet or not, so perhaps tomorrow for that too.
No further word on any interested people for Precious. I've printed up some fliers and will leave one or two at the vet tomorrow morning and post the other ones wherever else I can find a good spot. The ads are still up on craigslist.org, Petfinder.org and livedeal.com ... and I have an email in to someone who has worked at Dove Lewis for any suggestions they may have. It's definitely obvious that we have to get her a new home right away though.
