34. Cowl - Neal Asher - 320 pages. Another time travel book, but way, way different than the "Company" novels by Kage Baker. This one involves going back past the dinosaurs, with two groups of the same/similar race to fight a creature and it's commanding person. Enjoyable read, but doesn't lend itself to sequels, and it totally and completely different in style from another book from this author The Skinner
